Attorney general warns New Mexicans about fake IRS callers

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The attorney general’s office is warning New Mexicans to be wary of people trying to steal their money during tax season.
The attorney general’s office says there’s been an increase in reports of impersonators pretending to be from the IRS, calling people and asking them to verify personal details or threatening legal action if they don’t pay alleged back taxes.
The attorney general also wants to remind New Mexicans the IRS will never call and a
