Attorney General hopes to track methadone users

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – New Mexico’s attorney general is teaming up with attorneys general from 32 other states in hopes of tracking methadone users.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, current federal law does not require methadone programs to report patients to the state. Attorney General Hector Balderas and others are calling other federal government to change that.
Balderas says it will help doctors know who’s on methadone and prevent addicts from being over medicated.
