APD releases lapel video in deadly officer involved shooting

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) –APD has released the video of the deadly police shooting that left a teen carjacking suspect dead last week. It shows why the two officers felt the need to open fire within seconds of approaching the young man.
APD says 19-year-old Jose Rodriguez tried to carjack a driver but gave up because he didn’t know how to drive a stick. Police caught up with him just a few blocks away before the teen made a deadly decision.
