APD crime lab implements new DNA analysis guidelines

The Albuquerque Police Department is taking steps to make sure complex cases involving DNA testing are done right and past cases can’t be challenged in court, something that’s been a big problem for other cities. In order to do that, the department’s Crime Laboratory DNA Unit is putting a temporary stop to issuing some new case reports.
