Americans will eat 1.3 billion chicken wings Sunday

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Chicken wings may be the real M.V.P. Americans will eat millions of chicken wings during Sunday’s big game. One estimate puts the number at 1.3 billion chicken wings.
This Sunday will be the biggest day of the year for many sports-themed restaurants.
Buffalo Wild Wings says they plan on selling 12 million chicken wings that day. Wingstop hopes to sell 10 million wings.
About half of all those wings will be takeout for at home parties.
