Albuquerque’s Duran Central Pharmacy celebrates 50 years

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – It’s rare. A small, family owned pharmacy is still going strong. Duran’s Central Pharmacy celebrated 50 years Friday night.
The business has been open since 1942 but the Ghattas family took over in 1965. The family kept their lunch counter open late Friday and encouraged shoppers to support local businesses. The event brought in a lot of familiar faces from over the years.
