Albuquerque woman honors mother’s memory with Christmas display

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque woman’s Christmas display is getting a lot of attention. She’s sharing it in honor of her mother.
Debbie Hicks says her mother died two years ago on Christmas Day. She says it inspired her to create the display at her home near Gibson and Broadway, carefully creating each piece herself.
She transformed reindeer decorations into sheep and made clothing for mannequins out of her mom’s old sheets.
