Albuquerque student surprised with money for flute

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque student’s dream of making a career out of music is now a huge step closer to happening.
When Alan Martinez plays the flute, people often say he commands the room.
“As I improved, my passion for it only grew,” said Martinez.
Martinez is a junior at Albuquerque High School. On Thursday, he played for kids at his alma mater, Edward Gonzales Elementary.
