Albuquerque school PTA under investigation for misusing funds

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque school PTA is being investigated for a possible misuse of funds.
Documents on the APS website reveal that North Star Elementary’s principal and associate superintendent went to the district’s internal audit department with concerns about the spending of money meant for a shade structure at the school. The principal says it appears the money was spent on other things. What’s unclear is if the money was stolen, or just misused.
