Albuquerque racers face off in Pinewood Derby

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Wooden drag racers took to the track Saturday as hopeful Cub Scouts watched on.
Madison Middle School hosted a district-wide Pinewood Derby. Winners from around the city went head to head, racing their handmade cars down the track.
Organizers and competitors say it was a good way to spend a Saturday.
“The boys get to be creative. They come out and enjoy healthy competition and it’s just a good family time,” said attendee, Stuart.
