Albuquerque Public Schools sends budget to state for approval

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The budget for Albuquerque Public Schools is now heading to the state for approval after the school board approved it Wednesday.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, the $1.35 billion budget for the next school year includes cuts to deal with a state deficit stemming from lower oil prices.
The budget calls for scaling back at their central office, and reducing teacher and support staff, as well as cutting back on comp time and travel.
