Albuquerque park to be closed for renovations

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque park will soon be closed for renovations.
Highland Park, which is behind Hotel Parq Central just off I-25, is getting a major overhaul. Crews will start work on August 8.
The plans include a new children’s play area, improvements to the existing play area, and add new landscaping. Some of the parking will be removed and replaced with turf.
Construction is expected to last until sometime in January. The project will cost more than $740,000.
