Albuquerque Fire Rescue investigating abandoned house fire

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Squatters may be to blame for a fire in a northeast Albuquerque neighborhood. The fire broke out Monday morning at the abandoned home near San Pedro Dr. and Copper Ave. La Cueva High School student arrested on gun chargeAlbuquerque Fire Rescue said the house is no longer habitable. The property owner was not on scene and AFR said squatters were likely staying there. The arson division is investigating the cause of the fire.
