Albuquerque City Council to decide on bus pet policy

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque City Councilors could approve a pilot project that would allow more dogs and cats on city buses.
The proposal introduced by city councilor Trudy Jones would allow people to bring a pet on the bus during off peak hours. The proposal is on Monday’s city council agenda.
The resolution would require cats to be in a crate, while dogs would have to be in a crate or muzzled and leashed.
Currently only service animals are allowed on city buses.
