Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co. course certifies group in ‘Mental Health First Aid’

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A small group of New Mexicans are now certified in Mental Health First Aid and could help save a life with their new skill set.
It’s a tough topic for many people: suicide, self-harm and mental illness.
But that’s exactly why Clint Pyeatt, a program manager from UNM’s Dept. of Psychiatry, and his co-instructor teach people about mental health in a CPR training-like class.
“To de-stigmatize mental illness in the community…that is the
