AFR to focus on fire control program as days start getting colder

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – After a pilot program last year, Albuquerque Fire Rescue decided to start its outside fires program a little early this year.
AFR said the first year of the program ran from December 30 to April 19. In that time, the department claimed they were dispatched to around 3,700 outside fires, and the busiest months were in January and February.Story continues below
