Accused cop killers request new trial venue

RIO RANCHO (KRQE) – The two people charged with the murder of Rio Rancho Officer Gregg Benner are shopping for a new venue.
Andrew Romero and Tabitha Littles stood before a judge in Sandoval County on Tuesday to ask for their trials be moved. Lawyers say they can’t get a fair trial here because of non-stop news coverage.
