A warm start to February
Despite January coming in as colder than average for most, February has flipped the script.
A large area of high pressure is present over New Mexico this afternoon and will be present through the end of the week. This high pressure system is associated with upper level ridging. This upper level flow is resulting in southwesterly flow over New Mexico. This upper air pattern is drawing in much warmer air into New Mexico.
