3 New Mexico universities competing to run Sandia Labs

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico’s three largest universities are all now officially competing with each other in an effort to help take over management of Sandia National Labs.
Sandia is presently managed for the Department of Energy by Lockheed Martin under a contract expiring in April of 2017.
Lockheed announced Monday that New Mexico Tech, New Mexico State University and Purdue University have joined as partners in the company’s bid.
