2 years later, Route 66 musical road changes its tune

TIJERAS, N.M. (KRQE)- On historic Route 66, there’s a portion of road that plays a melody when your vehicle drives over it. It plays “America the Beautiful.”
“It’s fun, especially for the children,” said one driver.
It’s been two years to the month since the musical rumble strips were installed by National Geographic and the New Mexico Department of Transportation.“They selected that roadway partly for it’s beauty and to slow drivers dow
