1 man to be charged with shooting at DC officers; 4 released

WASHINGTON (AP) – Washington’s police chief says one man will be charged after firing on police officers during a carjacking early Tuesday.
Chief Cathy Lanier said no officers were wounded during the unplanned attack in southeast Washington.
She said the suspect carjacked an SUV with people inside after robbing four others at gunpoint. Then, she said, the man fired on officers from inside the vehicle, and officers returned fire.
