Walker administration misses financial reporting deadline

Gov. Bill Walker’s administration has missed a legal deadline to file the state’s annual financial report.
The Alaska Dispatch News reports that the report was due to the Governmental Accounting Standards Board on Tuesday. In a letter to legislative leaders, Administration Commissioner Sheldon Fischer said the new rule from the board that requires improved disclosure of state and local government entities’ pension obligations kept his department from finishing the report.
