North Pole seeks funding for wastewater problem

The water utility in North Pole, a city just south of Fairbanks, is looking to secure state funding for a $4 million wastewater problem that was discovered nearly a decade ago.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that the city is pursuing a construction project that will extend a pipe that carries about 200,000 gallons of treated wastewater per day to a channel of the Tanana River by as much as 4,000 feet.
