Armed conflict in Chevak leaves one dead

Chevak, AK. (Flickr Creative Commons photo)One person is dead and another is wounded after an armed conflict yesterday in the village of Chevak.
According to a village public safety officer, the suspect shot an officer three times and then turned the gun on himself.
The suspect died instantly; the officer’s status has not been released at this time.
