Victim’s family upset by work release for Akron man who has served half of yearlong jail sentence for shooting death

An Akron mother’s heart has broken three times in the past year and a half.The first was in August 2015 when she found out her son, Marcus Glover, had been shot and killed.The second was in November when she watched David Hillis, the man who shot Glover, sentenced to a year in jail.The third was Monday when Hillis was granted work release after serving just over half of his jail sentence.“I have no understanding of this,” Crystal Thomas, Glover’s mother, said after the Mo
