ZTE launches smartphone with eye-tracking technology

(Telecompaper) ZTE has launched sales of a new crowdsourced smartphone via the Kickstarter platform. Last year the company held a contest to collect ideas for a new concept phone and a "eye-tracking, self-adhesive" smartphone was selected as the winner. This has now been code-named Hawkeye and gone on sale on Kickstarter for USD 199. The device is expected to ship globally in Q3. Developed by ZTE, the phone will have an adhesive back, so it can be attached to the wall and free up the user's hand
