Windstream buys Broadview to expand in cloud UC services

(Telecompaper) US operator Windstream announced the acquisition of Broadview Networks, a New York-based provider of cloud unified communications to SMEs, for USD 227.5 million cash. Broadview offers a broad suite of cloud-based services under the OfficeSuite UC brand, which is expected to help expand Windstream's product portfolio. The acquisition also will allow Windstream to leverage Broadview's experienced salesforce and cloud operations across its national footprint, the company said.
