Telefonica, Huawei to build vEPC network in LatAm, Europe

(Telecompaper) Telefonica announced an agreement with Huawei to build a large-scale virtual Evolved Packet Core (vEPC) network in Latin America and Europe with a view to meeting ever-increasing traffic demand. The technology will be based on Huawei's CloudEPC platform and will allow Telefonica to provide converged voice and data on 4G networks in eleven countries in Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala), plus
