Telecom Egypt agrees national roaming with Orange

(Telecompaper) Telecom Egypt announced an agreement with Orange Egypt to offer 2G and 3G mobile services through its network. Telecom Egypt, the state's fixed-line monopoly, agreed last year to buy a 4G licence for EGP 7.08 billion to enter the mobile market directly for the first time. The company still holds a minority stake in Vodafone Egypt as well.
