Swisscom to discontinue SmartLife

(Telecompaper) Swisscom will withdraw its SmartLife security product from the market as of 31 January 2017. In an announcement on Facebook, the SmartLife team wrote that the product has "not had the market success we anticipated." SmartLife promised monetary compensation for "components purchased and the inconvenience caused" and told customers it would "do its utmost" to ensure they were not financially disadvantaged.
