Spark seeks court stay of Vodafone-Sky merger clearance

(Telecompaper) New Zealand operator Spark announced it's seeking a court order staying the planned merger of Vodafone and Sky New Zealand. The lawsuit follows an expected ruling by the New Zealand Commerce Commission on the merger 23 February. Spark is asking the High Court to order that, in the event the Commission gives clearance, this does not take effect until 36 hours following release of detailed reasons underlying the Commission's decision.
