Oracle files appeal in Java infringement case against Google
(Telecompaper) Oracle has appealed the suit it lost against Google in May, when It sought to get a share of the profits from Android due to Google's use of Java code, Recode reported. Oracle sought damages of USD 8.8 billion, claiming Google had made USD 21 billion worth of profit from the over 3 billion Android devices activated. The company also asked for USD 475 million in lost licensing revenues. The appeal was filed on 10 February.
