KPN activates 1,000th base station with LTE-Advanced

(Telecompaper) KPN announced the milestone of its 1,000th 4G+ antenna activated, in The Hague. The company said this puts it on track to meet its targets for the roll-out of LTE-Advanced. The Dutch operator is using 800-1800 carrier aggregation to deliver speeds up to 225 Mbps download and 35Mbps upload.
