Italy's Agcom blocks 28-day fixed line bills
(Telecompaper) Italian communications regulator Agcom has ordered operators to stop charging fixed telephony customers on a 28-day rather than on a monthly basis. In a decision taken following a meeting of the watchdog's board on 15 March, Agcom said Vodafone and Wind must abolish the 28-day fixed-line, DSL or fibre-optic bills they have already introduced, while Telecom Italia and Fastweb must block their recently-announced plans to do the same.
