Intel, Qualcomm hit 4.6 Gbps in 802.11ad WiGig tests

(Telecompaper) Intel and Qualcomm Atheros have successfully demonstrated multi-gigabit interoperability between their companies' respective next-generation 802.11ad WiGig components. The companies said they would lay the groundwork for the development of devices for the new standard that can connect and communicate at speeds of up to 4.6 Gbps.
