Google to introduce ad blocker on Chrome - report

(Telecompaper) Google is planning to introduce an ad-blocking feature in the mobile and desktop versions of its Chrome web browser, people familiar with the company's plans told the Wall Street Journal. The ad-blocking would be switched on by default within Chrome and filter out certain online ad types deemed to provide bad web experiences. Google could announce the feature within weeks, the report said.
