Global Switch sells 49% stake to Chinese investors
(Telecompaper) A consortium of Chinese companies and institutional investors has agreed to buy a 49 percent stake in data centre operator Global Switch for GBP 2.4 billion. The current shareholder, Aldersgate Investments (a Reuben Brothers company) will now jointly control the company together with the consortium's investment vehicle, Elegant Jubilee. There will be no change in the strategy of Global Switch, which specialises in data centres in Europe and Asia for the financial sector.
