Cisco buys AppDynamics for USD 3.7 billion

(Telecompaper) Cisco said it is buying AppDynamics, a privately held application intelligence software company based in San Francisco, for USD 3.7 billion in cash. AppDynamics was set to launch an IPO but has now shelved the project, the Wall Street Journal reported. The company provides its cloud application and business monitoring platform to the world's largest companies, improving their application and business performance.
