Canada starts CAD 750 mln fund for universal broadband
(Telecompaper) The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has established a new fund to help boost broadband internet, which the regulator sees as a basic telecom service for all Canadians. The CAD 750 million fund will come on top of any existing government programmes and any private or public funded project already in action.
