Arris announces its first Docsis 3.1 modems

(Telecompaper) Arris has announced its first Docsis 3.1 modems, the Touchstone CM8200 and SurfBoard SB8200. The CM8200 is aimed at operators and delivers data rates of over 5 Gbps downstream and 2 Gbps upstream. It features switchable filters with 1218 MHz downstream and 240 MHz upstream to support reliable gigabit performance while reducing interference in the home network.
