Amazon launches Video Direct platform for content creators

(Telecompaper) Amazon has launched Amazon Video Direct (AVD), a new self-service programme for creators and storytellers to make their video content available to Amazon customers in the markets where Amazon Video is available, namely the US, UK, Germany, Austria and Japan. Amazon has also announced the launch of the AVD Stars programme, which gives video creators a share of USD 1 million a month based on customer engagement with their titles.
