Johnson Sidelines Subpoena Vote, Says He Will Directly Target U.S. Consulting Firm Linked with Burisma

Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R., Wis.) decided on Wednesday to drop a subpoena of a former Ukrainian embassy official as part of an ongoing probe into Burisma and the Bidens, saying instead that he would “go straight to the source” and subpoena Blue Star Strategies, the U.S. firm which lobbied on behalf of Burisma.Citing “an abundance of caution” and “time for you to receive additional briefings,” Johnson told his colleagues in a le
