MBA: Mortgage applications swing back up

Mortgage applications swung back up and increased from one week earlier, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending Aug. 4. Meanwhile, after trending down for much of the year, the refinance share of mortgage activity increased.
