They are disciplined and diagnosed with learning disabilities at higher rates, their grades and test scores are lower, and they're less likely to graduate from high school. These disparities persist at the university level as well, where female enrollment now outpaces male enrollment by 16%, according to the U.S. National Center for Education Statistics.
