Children's IQs Not Diminished by Concussion, Study Suggests

The results may help reduce parental fears regarding these common and concerning head injuries. Researchers looked at socioeconomic status, patient sex, severity of injuries, concussion history, and whether there was a loss of consciousness at the time of injury. None of these factors were associated with lower IQ.
