Bipartisan Push to Ban Deceptive AI-Generated Ads in U.S. Elections

Source: U.S. News and World ReportTwo Democratic and two Republican U.S. senators on Tuesday introduced legislation to ban the use of artificial intelligence that creates content falsely depicting candidates in political advertisements to influence federal elections. The law is intended to prevent campaigns from using AI tools to create fake profiles on social media to spread false information, conduct mass hacking campaigns, and otherwise misuse AI to influence elections.
