US stocks edge higher as energy prices rise; dollar weakens

NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are mostly higher Thursday. The continuing rebound in oil prices is giving energy companies a lift, but phone companies and banks are sliding. The dollar is weakening and reached its lowest level compared to the Japanese yen in almost three years.
