UN condemns Burundi killings, threatens possible sanctions

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. Security Council unanimously approved a resolution Thursday condemning increasing killings in Burundi and threatening possible sanctions, while international leaders issued an urgent call for the government and opposition to meet amid fears that the African nation is at risk of a Rwanda-like genocide.
