Russian jets hit 158 targets in Syria's Palmyra

BEIRUT (AP) — Russia's Defense Ministry says its warplanes have carried out 40 air sorties over the past day near the historic Syrian city of Palmyra, supporting a government offensive against Islamic State militants.
