Prosecutor: Jail death investigated as thoroughly as murder

HEMPSTEAD, Texas (AP) — A Texas prosecutor says the death of a black woman whose family disputes authorities' finding that she hanged herself in a jail cell is being examined as thoroughly as a murder investigation.
